C. GREGORY SHAMOUN

C. Gregory Shamoun serves as the President of C. Gregory Shamoun, P.C., the Managing Partner of Shamoun & Norman, LLP. Over his nineteen year legal career, Mr. Shamoun has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of complex litigation matters.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Shamoun worked as a real estate broker and earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Dallas Baptist University. Possessing a strong business background, Mr. Shamoun has represented a variety of clients, ranging from small businesses to large companies, in numerous transactions.

Mr. Shamoun is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Texas Trial Lawyer's Association.

Representative Matters

Represent large international trading company in a breach of contract action between the company, one of its former subsidiaries, and certain of its former subsidiaries creditors. Multiple lawsuits are pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
Represented insureds (vast majority of Defendants) closing agents in $9.3 million loan fraud case, with strong reservation of rights involved, resulting in a $50,000.00 settlement.
Served as lead outside general counsel for Arkoma Basin Exploration Company, Inc. for ten (10) years.
Represent Arkoma Basin Exploration Company, Inc. in various oil and gas transactional and litigation matters.
Represented successors to a corporation that disposed of its assets to a subsidiary of a major U.S. corporation in a 368(a)(1)(C) reorganization in consideration of common stock of, the parent corporation prior to its announcement of errors and irregularities (leading to a restatement of earnings exceeding $900 million and a sharp decline in its stock price) in litigation against it and its former financial auditors wherein total claims made by all parties against any and all other parties exceed $3 billion.
Represented former vice president of New York based fashion licensing company in breach of contract and slander per se suit in the Supreme Court of New York, obtaining $1 million judgment.
Represent Panamanian apparel distribution entity in intellectual property litigation pending in the Southern District of New York (ongoing).
Represented Dallas investment company in securities fraud litigation arising from the restatement of financial statements and breach of covenants regarding the use of proceeds arising out of a $300,000 investment by it in a California pharmaceutical technology company.
Represent large DFW real estate development company in numerous significant real estate, corporate governance, and financing matters (ongoing).
Represented directors of a Delaware corporation in defense of a multimillion dollar shareholder derivative action.
Represent Dallas, Texas based jewelry company in trademark litigation in New York.
Represent numerous clients relative to prosecution and defense of breach of contract and fraud actions (ongoing).
Represent large AMEX REIT in vendor litigation pending in Supreme Court of New York (ongoing).
Whitaker v. City of Arlington. Represented Plaintiffs in wrongful death action. Verdict: $17.7 million.
Obtained defense verdict in multi-million dollar age discrimination suit in Federal Court.
